Tehran- Iran Ministry of Agriculture informed about the trip of Italy minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry to Tehran on February 9th for continuing the negotiations toward the two country cooperation.

IFIF Public Relations- Maurizio Martina the Italy minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry will travel to Tehran on February 9th with a group of Italian commercial delegates, deputies and managers of the ministry of Agriculture and also private sector to continue the negotiations and pursue the implementation of the mutual agreements.

“Mahmoud Hojati” Iran Minister of Agriculture travelled to Italy this week with a group of commercial delegations headed by Mr Hassan Rouhani the president of Iran and participate a specialized agricultural panel with his counterparts.

In this specialized panel that held with the participation of 40 outstanding companies from Iran and Italy, participants consultant about different subjects like the food industry and processing of agricultural and horticultural crops, machinery, seeds and seedlings, investment in the production of flavorings, enzymes and food stabilizer in Iran exports to European Union and technical advice for the development of fruit and vegetable export market.

During this panel CEOs and chairmen of Agricultural companies described the mutual investment cooperation for increasing the trade volume, joint ventures and technology transfer projects.

Italy is the third largest economy in Euro zone with a huge variety. Italy has a developed industrial section in north and a less developed agricultural sector in south with a high level of unemployment.

This week also the memorandum of scientific, research and administrative cooperation between Iran and Italy signed by Iran’s president and Italy Prime minister in the fields of pest control and exchanging experts./s
